How to farm fuel in Crossout: Fuel tank, Fuel barrel, and raids
Where to get fuel in Crossout: the daily 200 liters, farming with Fuel tank and Fuel barrel, which modes they work in, raids, the market, and the farm calculator.
Fuel in Crossout is a consumable you need to enter raids and Invasion. You can also buy and sell it on the market. Below: where the free daily allotment comes from, how to farm with a
Fuel tank and a
Fuel barrel, which modes they work in, and how much that boosts hourly income using the farm calculator.
Daily 200 liters of fuel
Every day the game grants 200 liters of fuel for free. This allotment does not stack: unused liters do not carry over. In practice you can spend up to 200 L on raids/Invasion each day without touching your stored or purchased fuel. If you do not spend the daily limit, it is lost.
Two hundred liters cover, for example, 10 easy raids (20 L), 5 medium raids / Invasions (40 L), or 3 hard raids (60 L) — or any mix within the limit.
What fuel is for in Crossout
The main fuel sink is entering PvE activities:
| Activity | Cost |
|---|---|
| Raid, easy | 20 L |
| Raid, medium | 40 L |
| Raid, hard | 60 L |
| Invasion (Leviathan fights) | 40 L |
Higher raid difficulty means a more expensive entry and more valuable rewards (Copper, Plastic, Electronics). Players usually spend the daily 200 L first. If that is not enough, you need a stockpile: farm with modules, buy on the market, or use saved fuel.
Fuel is also a full market resource: surplus can be sold for coins, and if you need a raid entry right now you can buy it. To see when buying or selling is better, use resource trading: each card shows pack size, current price, market zone, and a short trading signal — whether it is worth buying or dumping now.
Where it is more profitable to spend fuel in raids is a separate calculation: the farm page compares raid income and hourly income including fuel cost. Next — how to get fuel beyond the daily limit.
How to farm fuel: Fuel tank and Fuel barrel
To get fuel beyond the daily 200 L, mount a
Fuel tank and/or a
Fuel barrel on your craft. The modules add liters to the post-match reward, but not in every mode.
Where fuel modules work
Bonus fuel from the tank and barrel is granted only in these modes:
- Missions (Classic) — all except Patrol and Patrol Again;
- Clan Wars;
- Battle for Uranium;
- some brawls.
In other modes, hauling a tank/barrel for fuel is pointless — you will get no liters from them. Raids and Invasion spend fuel; they do not farm it via these modules.
Conditions for the bonus to actually land in your inventory (in a valid mode):
- your team won;
- your craft survived to the end of the match;
- the fuel modules were not destroyed (not blown up).
If the craft was wrecked or the module was destroyed mid-fight, you get no bonus fuel from it. So “fuel farming” = the right mode + modules + craft survivability.

Screenshot: a craft with a mounted
Fuel barrel. The module is compact but explosive — hide it under armor instead of leaving it exposed on the nose.
Fuel tank — +10 L

The
Fuel tank is a special module:
- grants 10 L of fuel per mission;
- effects from multiple tanks do not stack;
- it explodes when destroyed.
Mounting two or more tanks is pointless: the second adds no liters, only mass, PS, and another explosive piece on the frame.
Fuel barrel — +5 L

The
Fuel barrel:
- grants 5 L of fuel per mission;
- effects from multiple barrels also do not stack;
- it also explodes when destroyed.
Best setup: tank + barrel = +15 L
Effects from different modules do stack. Working setup:
- 1×
Fuel tank (+10); - 1×
Fuel barrel (+5); - up to +15 L of fuel from one winning match if both modules and the craft survive.

Example reward after a win: fuel 10 + fuel 5 (plus the mission’s main resource — Scrap Metal on the screenshot). That is a “full” fuel farm with both modules.
Quick checklist:
- Spend the daily 200 L first (it does not stack).
- Mount one tank and one barrel.
- Cover them with armor — both modules are explosive.
- Only queue modes where modules grant fuel (Classic without Patrols, CW, BfU, some brawls).
- Do not duplicate the same module “just in case”.
How profitable is farming with fuel modules
Fuel is not only “raid tickets”. Liters from missions count as extra income: sell them at market price or save them for raids. The farm calculator has coefficients for:
- % of wins in missions;
- % of craft survival with barrels in winning matches.
Wires example (typical coefficients: 50% wins and ~80% survival with barrels in winning matches):
| Conditions | Income per hour without fuel modules | Income per hour with fuel modules |
|---|---|---|
| With premium | ≈ 28 coins | ≈ 41 coins |
| Without premium | ≈ 19 coins | ≈ 31 coins |
With premium the gap is noticeable but not session-breaking. Without premium, tank + barrel already gives a solid boost: roughly from 19 to 31 coins per hour on the same wires farm.
Numbers depend on market prices and your real win rate / survivability — before a session, run your own coefficients on the farm calculator and check fuel price on the
Fuel trading page.
What to do with fuel: raids, Invasion, or selling
When you have a stockpile, there are three practical options:
- Spend on raids and Invasion (20 / 40 / 60 L by raid difficulty, 40 L for Invasion);
- Sell on the market if you do not need the liters and the price is good;
- Buy if you have no time to farm but need a raid/Invasion now.
By PvE entry cost:
- easy raids — cheaper (20 L), weaker rewards;
- medium (40 L) and hard (60 L) — pricier entry, higher potential;
- Invasion / Leviathans — fixed 40 L.
Which raid is best right now — and whether to sell or save — shifts with Copper, Plastic, Electronics, and Fuel prices. Do not memorize one map forever: compare hourly income including fuel on the farm calculator and check the market zone on
Fuel.
FAQ
Where do you get fuel in Crossout?
Every day — free 200 L (does not stack). Beyond that — modes with a
Fuel tank and/or
Fuel barrel if you win and the modules survive. You can also
buy fuel on the market.
Do the daily 200 L stack?
No. The limit resets every day; unused fuel is lost. Spend the daily allotment before reset.
In which modes do the tank and barrel grant fuel?
Classic missions (except Patrol and Patrol Again), Clan Wars, Battle for Uranium, and some brawls.
Can you mount several Fuel tanks?
No point: multiple tanks do not stack. Same for multiple barrels. Use one tank + one barrel.
Why did I get no fuel after the match?
Usually: wrong mode (e.g. Patrol or a raid), a loss, a destroyed craft, or a blown-up fuel module. The bonus needs a valid mode + the module surviving to the end.
Do I have to farm fuel separately?
Not necessarily. If you already farm Scrap Metal / Wires / Batteries, the tank and barrel simply add liters on top of the session and raise hourly income — either as raid entries or as market sales.
What is better: selling fuel or running raids?
Depends on current prices. Check the
Fuel market and raid income including fuel on the farm calculator.
Summary
To farm fuel in Crossout:
- Spend the free 200 L every day — it does not stack.
- Know the costs beyond the limit: 20 / 40 / 60 L for raids by difficulty and 40 L for Invasion; sell the surplus if needed.
- Mount a
Fuel tank (+10) and a
Fuel barrel (+5) — up to +15 L per winning match in a valid mode. - Do not expect module fuel in Patrols, raids, or other modes outside the list.
- Do not duplicate the same module; cover them with armor — both explode.
- Check session value on the farm calculator and the liter price on the
Fuel page — especially without premium.
That covers both “where to get fuel” and “whether fuel modules are worth running every match”.
